Willis J Simms

Benny and Gertrude Simms welcomed their son, Willis J. Simms, on December 7, 1944—He was lovingly referred to as “Skipper.”

Skipper completed his education in Dallas schools and on April 14, 1963 he married Barbara Faggins; to this union one daughter, Allison, was born. His wife Barbara preceded him in death in 1989. He was a valued employee in the auto industry for many years. During this time, he met his life partner Edith Hinton; they shared many wonderful years together before her death in 2019.

The angel of peace entered his life on February 27, 2020.

Skipper is survived by his daughter Allison Ugochukwu (Japhet), one granddaughter, Heaven Harris, two sisters, Gerald Robinson (Norman) and Theresa Walker-Medford (Leevon) all of Dallas and Billy Joe Osby (JoAnn) of California. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He will be missed dearly--until we meet again…
