William James Morgan, of Fate, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2022 at age 79. Bill was born on September 11, 1942 at Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Georgia Morgan, brother Jeff Morgan and sister Barbara Simpson.
Due to his father’s extensive military career, Bill spent his childhood and teen years living in many states and countries around the world.
Bill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966 as an airplane mechanic. He spent the next 34 as an elevator maintenance engineer; working in many high-rise buildings in downtown Dallas and surrounding areas before retiring in 2000.
Bill was the Dallas Cowboy’s biggest fan, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved his family, friends and precious dog Ginger.
He is survived by his loving son Billy Morgan, daughter-in-law Julia Morgan, three grandsons Drew, Cole and Ryan, former wife Wava Morgan and sister Carolyn Simpson.
A viewing will be held on January 22, 2022 at Gateway Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas from 10:00am until 12:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton, Oklahoma.
