Sue Simpson Beran was born January 27, 1940 to Jack Simpson and Evelyn Taylor Simpson. She was delivered by her favorite uncle known as "Uncle Bunk" at the Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Sue grew up in Caldwell, Texas and was active in the Methodist Church and a member of the Caldwell High School Band as a twirler and drum major. Sue met Dennis Beran, also a Caldwell native, after he returned from service in the Air Force in the summer of 1958. Sue and Dennis married on December 16, 1961 in Pasadena, Texas.
Sue and Dennis were married 57 years upon her passing peacefully on March 31, 2019 at the T. Boone Pickens Faith Presbyterian Hospice Facility in Dallas, Texas. Sue battled several years with multiple medical conditions.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dennis Beran of Garland, Texas; two daughters, Denise Beran London of Plano, Texas, and Sarah Beran of Garland, Texas; and two grandchildren, Dennis London at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Caroline London at the University of Oklahoma.
Sue dearly loved her two grandchildren and enjoyed their youth and participating in their activities. For many years, Sue worked at Richland College in Dallas, Texas in the Media Department and Administration, where she developed close relationships with staff, faculty, and especially students.
Sue's Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday July 20, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Sue can be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association, or other charity of your choice.
