Sonja Hamner passed away on July 11, 2019 at age 73. Sonja was born on April 7, 1946 in Tønsberg, Norway. She met her late husband, Tommy Mac Hamner, in Oslo, Norway and married him in 1977, moving to the United States shortly thereafter.
Her passions were fitness and nutrition, arts and crafts, and her faith. She also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She was very devoted to her family and to her pets.
Sonja's faith supported her through difficult times, and she had the hope of being reunited with her late husband Tommy and her late daughter Tamantha. She is survived by her son, Timothy Shannon Hamner, her grandson, Ethan Lucas Hamner, and her brother, Arnt-Larry Hovland. There will be a memorial service on 8/19/2019 at 6:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Denton, TX.
"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." - Revelation 21: 3-4
