Rosalie Mary Bilicki Bruner, 72, of Plano, Texas, passed away on on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 after fighting an almost 3 1/2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Rev. Bruce Bradley of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will be officiating. The reception will follow in the Church Hall. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gateway Funeral Home.
Rosalie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 12, 1944. She graduated from Dominican High School. She attended Cardinal Stritch University with a major in Special Education. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Collin County and a life long Republican.
Rosalie was married to James Gregory Bruner on April 2, 1964 and had three children; they were married 52 years.
Rosalie enjoyed gourmet cooking, vegetable and flower gardening, classical piano, volunteering in the community, and loving and supporting her children and grandchildren. She was always a lady - but had a spark of fun. The jewels in her crown included her strong sense of community and service, her dedication to family (hers and others), her lively sense of humor, her love of parties - planning, giving, enjoying - the queen of parties! She was also actively involved in the Junior League of Collin County and the many organizations that her children and grandchildren where involved in. Her impact in the community goes far and wide, and her legacy of giving back to the community will continue through all her children, grandchildren, adopted daughters & sons and their children.
Rosalie is survived by her husband James Gregory (Greg) Bruner, sister Maria Bilicki Werlein Wetzel, daughters Jamie Bruner Hanna (Al) and Jodie Bruner Rea (Ted), son Jay Gregory Bruner (Meredith), adopted daughter Lisa Jarrell (Russell), grandchildren Christopher William, Alexander Thomas & Katherine Ashleigh Hanna, Jessica Baie & James Austin Rea, stepson's John Edward & Thomas Hunter Rea and Caroline Kristin, Faith Anne, James Gregory Jr., and Dylan Thomas Bruner, along with Cameron Weston & Connor Winston Jarrell. She is also survived by her adopted daughters, their husbands and children and her many nieces, nephews and their children and other family and friends.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents Veronica Julia and Raymond Daniel Bilicki and brothers: Raymond, Daniel, and Ronald Bilicki.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The family of Rosalie Mary Bilicki Bruner wishes to thank all our family and friends far and wide including our Faith Family, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the Junior League of Collin County, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, FFA and the countless organizations that have touched our lives. A special thank you to the Lymphoma Society for all their assistance during Mom's battle with cancer.
