It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert F. Zentell, beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather, and dedicated Air Force pilot, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 92.
Robert was born on February 22, 1932, in San Francisco, California. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he distinguished himself as a skilled pilot, including during his service in the Vietnam War. His courage, discipline, and commitment to his country were hallmarks of his service, and he continued to live his life with the same sense of duty and integrity.
Above all, Robert was a devoted family man and a devoted Christian. He took great pride in caring for his family. He was a loving husband to Colleen, a caring father to Matthew, a cherished brother, and a doting grandfather. His legacy of kindness, wisdom, and strength will live on through his family.
He is survived by his granddaughters Sydney and Alexa, his sister Suanough, and his daughter-in-law Julie. He was predeceased by his wife Colleen and his son Matthew.
A memorial will be held on Tuesday, December 10, at Heritage Village. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Robert will be greatly missed but never forgotten. His legacy of service, love, and dedication to family will continue to inspire all who knew him.
