Phyllis Annette Petersen

Phyllis Annette Petersen, daughter to Philip Raymond and Anna Louise Petersen was born February 8, 1953 in Dallas, TX.  Phyllis won her battle against breast cancer but suffered from Parkinson’s disease for 15 years which ultimately took her life on September 10, 2025.

Phyllis worked in the Oil & Gas Industry as a senior revenue accountant for Nexen for many years. Later in life, she enjoyed racing Jack Russell Terriers and helped to run the Dallas area Jack Russell Rescue.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her father Philip Raymond Petersen and her beloved nephew Pike who helped care for her. She is survived by her mother Anna Louise Petersen, sister Pamela Sue Petersen Schultz, brother Paul Raymond Petersen, nephews Matthew Blaine Schultz, and Philip Emil Petersen, and nieces Dr. Rigney Kathryn Petersen Waldrop, Mary Claire Petersen and Stephanie Schultz Tompkins. Phyllis loved being a great-aunt to her great-nieces Ella Louise Schultz and Charlotte Elizabeth Schultz. 

Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Calvary Hill Cemetery 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220 at 10:00 am.
