Peggy Jeanne Wendt

Peggy Jeanne Wendt was born in Wewoka, OK on October 15, 1955 and sadly passed away after a brief illness on February 23, 2024 surrounded by those who loved her dearly.

Peggy graduated from Denison High School in Denison, TX. She then went on to earn her Associates Degree in Nursing from Grayson College in Denison. 

She married her beloved husband Steven Frank Wendt on August 8, 1975 and they remained married for over 48 years. 

Peggy worked as a Registered Nurse for several years at each of the following medical facilities which included Texoma Medical Center, Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center, Medical City McKinney and Baylor Frisco. 

She enjoyed spending her free time collecting Fiesta dishes and going to her boys sporting events. She was always the loudest mom there. 

Peggy is survived by Steven Frank Wendt (spouse), Franklin Brock Wendt (son) and wife Karie Wendt, Samuel Keith Wendt (son) and wife Alicia Wendt, Rusty Wendt (son), sisters Mary Helen Blake and husband Greg, Nan Sue Wampler and husband Steve, and Dee Ann Clemons and husband Russell as well as 8 grandchildren, one nephew and several nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Dee and Jeanne Ray, father and mother in law Frank and Wilda Wendt and nephew Bryan Blake.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on March 9, 2024 at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Denison, TX.  The service will be officiated by Danny Weems.
