Jerrye Ruth Zoda Dillman entered heaven on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was 84.
Jerrye was born on September 29, 1937, to Raymond and Lousie Zoda at home in Worhtham, Texas. She attended various schools as the family moved but graduated from Hobbs High School in New Mexico.
She went on to study at TCU and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Her career included working in doctor’s offices, hospitals and eventually an Oncology clinic in Sherman, Texas. She touched many lives in the most caring way possible.
On May 17, 1957 Jerrye married the love of her life Lt. Col. Marvin Dillman. Due to Marvin’s service in the Air Force, life was never dull and boring. They were stationed in several locations including Texas, Alaska and North and South Carolina. Marvin even spent some time overseas while Jerrye lived state-side with their three boys, Jon, Robert, and Richard.
After retirement, Jerrye and Marvin pursued their love of antiques. Buying and selling was a hobby as well as a business. Trips in search of the desired artifacts filled their days and setting up estate sales brought them joy.
After Marvin’s passing in 2015, Jerrye moved to Frisco, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joe Zoda, and her sons, Robert and Richard. She is survived by her son Jon and his wife Bre’Aun, several grand and great-grandchildren and her sister, Martha Pyle. She will be truly missed by everyone.
