Michael Booth Obituary

Michael Ray Booth, 60, left this world to return to his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 31, 2016 at his home in Dallas, Texas after an intense and courageous battle with renal cancer. Mike came into this world at 4:17 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 1955 in Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois to Joan and Richard Eugene Booth.
He is survived by his Mother Joan and Stepfather Bill Hieatt, Son and daughter in law Stephen and Jennifer Booth, Daughter Lynn Davis and son in law Brian Nugent, Grandsons: Christian Booth, William Hansen, Charles Lee Davis, Brandon Lee Davis, Andrew Booth, Sebastian Nugent and Elijah Booth, Granddaughters: Kayla Brillhart, Jessica Stier, and Frances Cooper, Great Granddaughter Brynleigh Brillhart, and Mike's very Special Friend Linda Booth.
He was preceded in death by his Father Richard Booth, and Grandparents: Alberta and Dan Bartlett, and Marg and John Posateri.
The family would like to take a moment to thank Kim Adair, and all the other nurses at Presbyterian Village North and Faith Hospice for providing such excellent care.
Mike was a very kind and caring person who touched the lives of many people. To know him was to love him. He loved and was very loyal to his family and friends. He will be missed beyond measure.
He was an avid Texas Rangers and Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed fishing, golf, playing pool, and driving around in his Dodge Challenger.
He graduated Jr High School in Nauvoo, Ill and High School in Galesburg, Ill. He studied information technology at DeVry.
He was employed at LabCorp of Dallas from 1997 until his illness rendered him unable to continue working.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Support Community North Texas.
