Merci Sherrie Wright was born on September 11, 1980 at St. Luke Women’s Hospital in New York City. She was the fourth child born to Violet Victoria and James Master Wright. Merci accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Heartline Ministries after moving to Dallas, Texas with her mother in 1991. Merci attended Dallas ISD schools where she graduated from high school early. Merci was determined to graduate with honors and she accomplished the goal she set for herself. Merci was loved by her teachers and would spend the night with her teacher along with other students. Merci continued her education at Monroe College in Bronx, New York where she graduated with her degree in Computer Science. Merci loved having fun, laughing, clowning around, making people laugh, and her family who she often gave a hard time. Merci also loved listening to music, reading, and movies.
On August 11, 2020 Merci unexpectedly transitioned from earth to glory and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish loving memories her son Isaiah Emmanuel Wright, her twin grandchildren, Naomi and Nicholas Wright, her mother, Violet Victoria Garrett, her siblings, Martin Lucky Wright, Tahesha Sherri Tarrats, and Jazmine Wright. She also leaves her brother-in-law Charles Brown, her aunts Muriel Lee Gregg and Carol Lee Garrett, and uncle, Norman Gregg, her nieces and nephews, Nylah Milani Janae Tarrats, Briana Wright, Avery Brooks Green, Victoria, Ikhara, Jewl, and Taylor Tarrats and cousins, Tameeka, Latisha, Normisha, and Jeremy Gregg, Earl and Joy Stevens, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
