Maria Irene (Ramirez) Rubalcaba

With heavy hearts, the family of Maria Irene Rubalcaba Ramirez would like to inform everyone of her passing on October 3, 2025, in Royse City, TX, at the age of 87 years old.  She was born on August 15, 1938, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.  Maria Irene Rubalcaba worked her entire life, never giving up through many obstacles and efforts.

She was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Her happiness and passion for life left an unalterable mark on our hearts.  She will always be remembered for her smile, how she laughed, her passion for dancing, and having her family together with great love.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maria Bertha Ramirez and Raul Ruvalcaba, her brothers Oscar, Raúl, Eloy, and Sergio and her daughters María Irene Treviño (Nenita) and María Guadalupe Cisneros.  She is survived by her sisters Yolanda, Hilda, and Bertha, and her children Oscar Treviño, David Trevino, Raúl Treviño, María Bertha Delgado, Perla Alicia Winn, María Griselda López, María Irene Raley, Vanessa Holt, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and many other extended family members and beloved friends.

A Mass with her ashes present will be celebrated at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 28, at 11am.

Irene (Nena) will be remembered for her unconditional love, her generous spirit, and her contagious smile. A beautiful soul can never be forgotten. The best inheritance she left us was following our Mexican traditions; making tamales, playing Mexican bingo (Loteria), eating bread with coffee, running outside at midnight with a suitcase on New Years, and an addiction for going to the casinos.

Con profunda tristeza la familia de María Irene Rubalcaba Ramirez les comunica que retornó al Padre el 3 de Octubre de 2025 en Royce City, Tx a la edad de 87 años. Aunque nuestro corazón esté triste por su retorno al Padre Celestial, agradecemos el tiempo compartido y celebramos la amorosa misión cumplida en su camino por la vida.

Siempre recordaremos con ternura, alegría y nostalgia, su alegría e inolvidable sonrisa, su resiliencia, madurez y esfuerzo por superar todos los retos que la vida le puso.

Destacamos su pasión  por la vida junto a su corazón bondadoso, que deja huella imborrable en nuestros corazones y en el de todas las personas que la conocieron y tuvieron oportunidad de  convivir con ella.

Nació el 15 de agosto de 1938 en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México. Fue hija de María Bertha Ramírez y de Raúl  Rubalcaba. Sus hermanos: Oscar, Raúl, Eloy y Sergio, y sus hijas: María  Irene Treviño (Nenita) y María Guadalupe Cisneros.

Le sobreviven también sus hermanas Yolanda, Hilda y Bertha y sus hijos  Óscar Treviño, David 

Treviño, Raúl Treviño, Maria Bertha Delgado, Perla Alicia Winn, Maria Griselda Lopez, Maria Irene Raley and Vanessa Holt. Sus nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos, sus demás familiares y conocidos ruegan a Dios la reciba amorosamente con Su Santa diestra, para compartir el banquete celestial que nuestra religión nos tiene prometido.

La misa se celebrará con sus cenizas presentes en Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church el 28 de Octubre a las once de la mañana. 

Irene (Nena) será recordada por su amor incondicional, su espíritu generoso y su sonrisa contagiosa. Un alma hermosa nunca se olvida. Las mejores herencias que nos dejó nuestra madre es seguir las tradiciones Mexicanas; hacer tamales, jugar lotería, comer pan con café, correr para afuera a la medianoche con la maleta de viaje en el año nuevo, y el vicio de los casinos. 

Con todo nuestro amor, Que en Paz Descanse y brille para ella la Luz Perpetua.
