Manuel Francisco Aguilar, a man of courage and strength passed away on January 9, 2018.
Manuel's strong will and character carried him through his journey of life and battle with cancer. He was resolute and brave in his final days. Manuel was born April 13, 1953 in Aguas Prietas, Mexico.
He found humor in life, had a passion for music and dancing, and was a spitfire if ever crossed. He taught his children to defend, protect, and fight for their beliefs.
Manuel took tremendous pride in his work during his lifetime. He was a perfectionist and strived to be the best. A great lesson he taught his children was to bring a spirit of excellence in all work.
This spirit of excellence transcended to another area of pride, Manuel's looks. He was happy to see the doctor's report read, "patient well-groomed" and even made sure his mustache was dyed at the hospital and he was groomed each day during hospice. Manuel always reminded his family, "Even sick, I still got it!"
Manuel lived his life "My Way" as the old song goes and according to his prerogative. He was by no means perfect, but who on this Earth is? "And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone." John 8:7
Yet and still, his love, fighting spirit, and tenacity lives on...You Still Got It, Old Man Emmanuel!
Manuel is survived by his Mother, Gregoria Aguayo of Hermosillo, Sonora-Mexico; Wife- Irma Antonia Aguilar; Daughters, Isela Aguilar-Cardoza and Irma Aguilar; Son, Chris Aguilar; Son-in-law, Manuel Cardoza; Grandson, Alex Garza; and his Beloved Granddaughter, Valeria Sanchez and a host of family in Mexico, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Sulphur Springs.
Manuel was always private and reserved in life. In honor of Manuel's wishes, no funeral or memorial services will take place. A simple, private cremation for his Wife, Daughters, and Grandchildren will be held. The family sincerely offers thanks for the outpouring of love and support shown to Manuel and his family in his last days.
