Larry Eden Lange

Larry Eden Lange, 84, of Lavon, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2024. There will be a small, private service following cremation. 

Larry was born in San Marcos, Texas, on December 13, 1939. He graduated from Douglass High School in Richmond, Virginia. He served in the Air Force, then began employment with Braniff Airlines. After leaving Braniff, he was employed by Poly Pipe, Denton County Sheriffs Department, and then retired from Cooke County Sheriffs Department as the Environmental Deputy. 

Larry was married to Madalyne Poovey Lange on September 17, 1966; they were married for 57 years. 

He loved flying and working on airplanes. He pursued that love after retirement. He was a member of the Commemorative Air Force and toured with the B29 Bomber. He also fully restored a P40 Warhawk from World War II. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Larry is survived by wife, Madalyne, daughters, Paige Granberry and husband, Danny, and Gayle Talley and husband Jason. He had two grandchildren, Blake and Reagan Talley. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Billy Lange.
