Justin Kennedy Obituary

Justin Andrew Kennedy, age 50, of Fairview Texas, passed away at home on March 12th 2025 surrounded by his loving family, after battling cancer for six years. Born on November 14th 1974 in Dallas, Texas to David and Burna Faye Kennedy, Justin was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was deeply cherished by all who knew him.

He graduated from Plano East Senior High School, and then went on to Sam Houston State University where he earned two bachelor’s degrees, after which he pursued a highly successful career in the Audio Visual systems and control industry at both AMX, and Atlona. His career took him all around the world where he developed lasting friendships with many colleagues. He also holds two US Patents in this field.

He met his loving wife, Denise in 2005 and they were married in McKinney, Texas in 2009. They recently celebrated their 15 year wedding anniversary in October of 2024. In 2011, their first son, Reese was born followed by their second son, Cian in 2013.

In his free time, Justin enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts, restoring and owning classic cars, playing ice hockey, and traveling the world, but he especially cherished spending time with his boys, family and friends. He was wonderfully generous with his time for people in his community and loved spreading joy to everyone he encountered.

Justin was a man of deep faith and integrity. His hope placed firmly on his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He attended and volunteered at Chase Oaks Sloan Creek in Fairview, TX and loved being a part of the first impressions team where he got to help people feel welcomed every Sunday with his infectious enthusiasm and smile. He also held a special place in his heart for a local Christian’s men group called Wingmen, where he meet a community of wonderful men that he regarded more as brothers. Sharing his faith with others was an integral component of his life. He shared Jesus’ love and prayed with many even while receiving treatments in the infusion room.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Kennedy; their boys, Reese, and Cian; as well as his dear parents, David and Burna Faye, his brother Collin (Ashley) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of his remarkable life will be held at Chase Oaks Church- Sloan Creek Campus (611 E Stacy Rd Fairview, TX  75069) on Saturday, April 5th at 2pm. A reception is to follow.
