Joyce Ann West

Joyce Ann West was born in Bay City, Michigan on October 5, 1955 to Billy and Mary Jennings. Joyce grew up in Louisiana and that is where Joyce and Rick got married on December 4, 1971…And then moved to Texas with the love of her life.  These two were happily married for 35 years!  And still till this day she loved him 54 years later as she did from day one.  

Joyce went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2025 at her residence in Sanger, Texas with family by her side. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Rick West, parents Billy Jennings and Mary Jennings and her husband Brandon West. 

She is survived by her son, Shane West, one sister - Janice Hudson and husband Johnny of Ruston, Louisiana and three brothers - Roger Jennings and wife Dusty of West Monroe, Louisiana, Tim Jennings and wife Judy of Farmerville, Louisiana, Scott Jennings and wife Sandra of Dubach Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. 

She was a very loved Mimi to her Grandsons Dakota West and wife Samantha and Dawson West and Jace Evan West and her beautiful Granddaughters Madison Elizabeth West, Shaylin Rose West, and Brieanna West.  Joyce was also a Great Mimi to her great granddaughter‘s Raelin May Sopa and Nova Lynn West.  Joyce also had a best friend of a very long time Tyrone Stephanie that she thought the world of… and she loved all of her family and friends dearly. 

Amazing Grace was her favorite song. Amazing Grace is what she bestowed on every one of us an Amazing Grace is what she left behind in each and everyone of us.  Joyce’s job in life was to take care of and love everyone equally and she definitely lived up to that!
