Johnnie Blaylock Obituary

Johnnie Mae Blaylock (Haynes) was born on October 9, 1923 to the parents of Fermealer Woodall (Brooks) and Johnny Haynes in Altair, Texas. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Millbrook Nursing Home in Lancaster, Texas.

Johnnie attended public school in Altair, Texas. She confessed her love for Christ and was baptized at a young age. She graduated and moved to Dallas, Texas when she was 18 years old. She had one daughter Bernice Powe-Coker (Woodard) with the late Jesse Woodard. She married the late Cornelius Blaylock and lived a glorious life in Dallas, Texas. She loved fishing, church and talking on the phone with friends and family. She worked for Paul Quinn College (formerly Bishop College) for over 30 years. Johnnie was currently a member of Starlight Bethel M.B.C and living at Millbrook Brook Nursing home where she enjoyed dining and roaming the halls with friends.

She will now be joined together with her parents, Fermealer and Johnny; sisters, Alice Haynes and Pearline Haynes; granddaughters, Ida Woodard and Felicia Williams; grandsons; Marquis Powe. Johnnie is survived by her daughter Bernice Powe-Coker; Grandchildren, Raymond Williams and Leon Powe Jr; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Latoya Williams, Leondre Powe,Shatavia Harris, Kendra Powe,Dyaneshia Fuller, Chad Lewis, Alexis Lewis and Fermealia Faggins (Woodard) Great Great Grandchildren; Deundra Osborn Davis, Deundre Osborn, Deundria Osborn, Kedric Osborn, Vanecia Chambers, Makenna Faggins, Myah Faggins and Great Great Great D’Andre Armstrong Osborn: and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
