Joanne Weber passed peacefully on Sept. 16, 2025. She was 94 years old.
Joanne was born in Gangneung, Korea on Aug. 19, 1931. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Korea, Joanne moved to the United States in 1950 to pursue further education. She attended Seton Hill College in Pennsylvania and St. Louis University, where she earned a master’s degree in social work.
While in St. Louis, she met her husband, Norman Weber. They were married 40 years, until his passing in 2000.
Joanne was a prodigious reader and patron of the arts. She frequently attended live theater at the Muny Opera in St. Louis and lectures from prominent public figures. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, travel, and hosting guests.
Joanne was known for her care for her loved ones, her lively stories and the pride she took in her family.
She is survived by her children: Art(Trish), Yvonne and David(Lisa); four grandchildren: Ann(Mike), Tom, Natalie and Melissa; and two great-grandchildren: Paul and Cecilia.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday Oct. 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Junction, Colorado.
