It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremia Batula Quila, who left us on September 29, 2025, at the age of 41.

Jeremiah was born to (Dee) Dieuhuong and Ismael Quila, took his first breath on June 22, 1984, in Manhattan, KS. Jeremiah grew up in The Colony, TX, attended school at The Colony High School, was on the Varsity Wrestling and football team, a fierce competitor, and well-liked by all his teammates.

Jeremiah was known for many things by many people, but his time was devoted to being a father to his sweet daughter, Charisma. They were more than just father and daughter; they were as close as friends could be – spending much of their time together. To say that they were inseparable would be an understatement.

Jeremiah is survived by his daughter Charisma, sister Tyra and Sereena, nieces Ziza and Nnedria, nephew Liam, and a lot of cousins – we have lost count!

A celebration of Jeremiah’s life was held on October 5th from 9:00am-1:00pm at Gateway Funerals and Cremation.

Though Jeremiah is no longer with us, his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Jeremiah's final resting place will be in the family plot located at Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan, Kansas.
