Jeanne Murphy

Jeanne Murphy, of The Colony, Texas, passed away September 3rd, 2020. At her request, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 am on October 10th, 2020 at the Bringle Lake Pavilion, located at 7602 Bringle Lake Road in Texarkana, Texas. Her final resting place will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas, next to her daughter, Jenny.

Jeanne was born May 30, 1961 in El Dorado, Arkansas.  She spent her life bettering her education and making sure her grandchildren knew knowledge is power. She was a driven and dedicated employee to her company, PepsiCo, for over 10 years. She was opinionated and stubborn. Jeanne would always give you straight talk and didn’t candy coat, but she was also caring and compassionate. She was always a good ear to listen or shoulder to cry on when needed. Her most prized possessions were her 6 grandchildren and her dog, Duchess.

Jeanne is proceeded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Murphy; her father, Eugene Curry and her cat, Fat Jack.

She is survived by her son Eric Murphy of Azle, TX; her daughter Jessica Murphy (Gabriel Parker) of Garland, TX; 6 grandchildren- Chyanne and Chloe Clark of Lubbock, TX, Breonna Talley, Andrew Weaver and Kinsley Parker of Garland, TX and Alaina Lightcap of Fort Worth, TX; her ex husband, Richard Murphy of Garland, TX; her mother, Martha Curry, of Texarkana, AR; sisters Lori Moore (Eric Moore) of Texarkana, AR and Sharon Prather (Todd Prather) of Clinton, MS; her dog, Duchess; several nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.
