Jay Joseph Wimmers, 64, of Garland, Texas passed away on July 24, 2023.
The funeral service will be held at Gateway Funerals & Cremation. Visitation will be held at Gateway Funerals & Cremation prior to the funeral. Burial will follow the funeral at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Sunnyvale, Texas.
Jay was born in Wilmington, Delaware on November 5, 1958. He graduated from W.T. High School.
Jay worked as a Network Engineer for Bank of Texas for almost twenty-three years. He enjoyed working from home (if that counts), enjoying his daily Dallas Morning News with his coffee, cartoon network at night and spending time with his wife and watching movies. Loved to eat out or order in food frequently.
Jay is survived by his wife Glynis, his sons Jason and Jonathan, grandchild Georgia, step children Niki Shewchuk and spouse John, grandson Liam, Jon White, III and spouse Emma and all the people who loved him who he worked with, specifically Mike Williams, Suzanne Hagen and Timothy McClanahan.
Jay is preceded in death by his mom, dad, brother Ted, and sister Jan.
