James Donald Williams, 86, of Plano, Texas passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. His loving grandchildren, Christina and J.R., were by his side as he peacefully passed.
James (Jim) was born on July 7, 1934 in Electra, Texas to Beulah Ruby Denson and William Clive Williams.
Jim served in the U.S. Army in the signal corp. prior to becoming a self-employed electronic representative. His work allowed him to travel overseas, with travels to Russia, Israel, and Japan.
Jim was very involved in his church, Willow Creek Fellowship in Plano, TX, undertaking multiple roles. He enjoyed his time as the church audio/visual lead. He enjoyed attending Gospel concerts to hear the praises of the Lord.
He was a doting grandfather to his two grandchildren, Christina and J.R. “Poppy” attended almost every activity in which they were involved.
Jim was married to Nelda Winnell White Williams, she was the love of his life until her death in October 2020.
Jim is preceded in death by parents, Beulah Ruby Denson and William Clive Williams, his son, Ronald Lynn Williams, his brothers Covel Williams and Clive Williams, his sister Dee Adams, and his beloved wife Nelda Williams.
Poppy is survived by his grandchildren, Christina Fuller-Summey (Shawn) and their children Averie and Zachary; J.R. Williams (Samantha) and his children Kailyn, Taegan, and J.J. and many extended family and love ones.
He was a man of strong faith, the patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, and a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jim’s legacy lives on due to his loving and positive influence on his family and friends.
