Hunter Hubert Miller

Hunter Hubert Miller, 88, of Tyler (Hideaway Lake) TX passed away Friday, August 19, 2022.

Hunter was a loving father, brother and grandfather born November 10, 1933, in Luray VA to parents Hunter Henry Miller & Leola Eveline Gray Hagler. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1951-1955, followed by a career as a computer operator for the federal government. Golf was one of his favorite past times, even working as a golf marshal at Hideaway Lake in retirement. Hunter was a Gene Autry aficionado, with one of his favorite songs being "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine". He was quick witted with a fun sense of humor including many colloquialisms that would make everyone laugh. Hunter was an avid dog lover, with Heidi being his most recent love. He also had a generous heart and would help those in need.

Hunter was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Braesicke Miller. He was formerly married to Norma S Echols, the mother of his children.

Hunter is survived by his brother, Lowell F Miller of Asheville North Carolina; his daughter Shirley Johnson & husband Brian; and his son Hunter Robert Miller & wife Anne-Marie (Dash) Miller; his grandchildren Cash and Briley Johnson; Hunter Rian, John and his wife Jazmynn, Camden and his fiance Alyssa, Rose, and Elijah Miller; and his dearly beloved Jaynie Dean.

The family plans to have a small gathering after cremation to spread his ashes. In place of flowers, donations may be made to American Brain Tumor Association, National Brain Tumor Society or SPCA of Texas.
