Gayle Anne (Whitacre) Tucker was born on August 26, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed to her rest in Dallas, Texas on April 10, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer.
Gayle attended Tulsa Junior Academy for 10 years and completed her high school education at Ozark Adventist Academy in 1973. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1976. During her senior year she married Michael D. Tucker, to whom she was married for 40 years. Gayle devoted her life to ministry, serving as a teacher, minister of music and associate pastor of children's and women's ministries at the Arlington Adventist Church, and was associate speaker of the television ministry, Faith for Today.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Michael Tucker; two daughters, Allison Tucker of Dallas; Michal Anne Whitcomb of Dallas, son-in-law, Levi Whitcomb, and two grandchildren, Anna and Anderson Whitcomb. She is also survived by her mother, Ethel Whitacre; sisters, Joni Darmody and husband, Steve; Julie Little and husband, Ron; brothers, Jackson Whitacre and wife, Jessica; and Jon Whitacre. Survivors also include, father and mother-in-law, Duane and Arlene Tucker; sister-in-law, Vicki Tucker and husband, Paul; two nieces and seven nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Jack Whitacre
