Freddie Pelican Obituary

Freddie C. Pelican passed away Saturday, March 11,2017, at his home in Dallas, Texas at the age of 43 years old. He was born August 10,1973, in Lafayette, Louisiana Charity Hospital, The son of Freddie Pelican Jr.,Etta Pelican, and (Step Parents) Joseph Lewis and Dahlia Cook.

Freddie graduated from his home town of  Lake Charles, LA at Lake Charles Boston High School where he grew up to be a young man and made a decision to proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1993-1997. He traveled to Iraq, San Diego, China, Corpus Christi, Virginia and other locations. He was humble, charming, kind, unselfish, smart, and fun to be around. He always took a dull moment and made it blossom.  He had very bad wounded ulcers on both of his legs from his knee to his foot, he had high blood pressure, and heart failure. He had been
dealing with these issues for some time, but the ulcers were the main issue that led him to become inactive of life actives with family, friends, and work. He tried to make the best of his condition daily, yet the pain was unbearable. 

Freddie has left behind his 3 kids Marquea' Pelican (Son) at the age of 20, Bianca Pelican (daughter) at the age of 17, and his baby girl Kailah Pelican (daughter) at the age of 13. His immediate siblings left behind are Eric Richard (Brother) age of 45, Bruce Pelican (Brother) age of 41, Sheba Perry (Sister) age of 37, Daryl Cook (Step Brother) age of 33.
