Edward Peyton McNabb ,75, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2017.
Ed was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 15, 1942. Ed proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army where he served two tours during the Vietnam War. He also served as the commander of the American Legion Post 81 of Duncanville, Texas where he made many lifelong friends and colleagues. He enjoyed cooking for fundraisers, and raising money for our veterans, and always serving the community in one way or another.
Ed is survived by his daughters Lori Kay Meza and husband Armando, Susan Smith, Paula Meade and husband Craig, sister, Norma Markham, grandchildren, Kyle McNabb, Taylor McNabb, Heather Beregszaszy and Christina Jacinto, Katherine and Hayden Meade.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents Otis Weaver McNabb and Sarah Evelyn Goddard, and brother, Weaver Eugene McNabb, and son-in-law, Steve Smith.
A Graveside service will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:30am. The family will have a time of fellowship and remembrance following the graveside service at American Legion Post 81 in Duncanville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to American Legion Post 81.
