Edith Faye Pierce (Edie), 90, of Lewisville passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2021. Edie was born May 12, 1931, at her grandparents’ home in Friendship, Texas and grew up on a cotton farm in Hiram, Texas, attending high school in Terrell, Texas. On May 15, 1948, Edie married Glenn Pierce of Dallas, Texas.
Edie spent most of her life being a devoted wife and mother of seven children. She began her first job outside the home at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Dallas at age 50. Edie enjoyed fishing at Table Rock Lake, playing bridge, bowling, reading, and gardening, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.
Edie was preceded in death by her parents Iva Nell and Enoch Presley Wesson, her husband Glenn Pierce, and her brother Billy Ralph Wesson, and she is survived by her children Al Pierce (Patti), Carol Shelton (Mike), Debra Marrinan (Jim), Lisa Sharpless (Walt), Jan Skinner, Don Pierce (Debbie), Pat Pierce (Marla), 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:30 am at Crossroads Bible Church, 8101 Justin Road, in Double Oak, Texas.
