David Maldonado Obituary
David Rey Maldonado (Davey), 45, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, from advanced stages of colon cancer.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Fellowship Church - Downtown Dallas Campus (2809 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75201). Tracy Barnes of Fellowship Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gateway Funerals & Cremation.
Davey was born in Amarillo, Texas on December 17, 1971. He graduated from Randall High School and continued his education at Amarillo College and the Art Institute of Dallas.
Davey was married to Bretta on May 1, 2004; they were married 13 years.
Davey worked as an executive administrative assistant for Yum Brands, Blockbuster, and RBC Capital Investments, but his most cherished job was that of Stay-At-Home-Dad for the past eight and a half years. He enjoyed volleyball and music.
Davey is survived by his wife Bretta Maldonado, his daughter Josephine Grace Maldonado, his parents David and Virginia Maldonado, his sister Lisa Maldonado, his sister and her husband Sara and Stan Viquez, his nieces and nephews Jasmine, Samantha, and Mike Barrios, and Abigail and Caleb Viquez, and other family and friends.
Davey is preceded in death by his grandparents Miguel and Josephine Maldonado and Manuel and Elena Diaz.
