Charles Shu 施純星

Charles passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023 at his residence at 77 years old. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Mr. Chen Shing “Charles” Shu was born Changhua, Taiwan on May 14, 1945. He was the oldest of 5 children. In 1984, he immigrated to Dallas, Texas with his wife and two children. Through hard work and dedication, he built an import/export wholesale business from 1 product selling out of his house to over 500 products with a 6,000 square foot warehouse. He was also a partner in one of the first Chinese Buffet Restaurants in San Antonio, Texas called, Mr. Panda’s.

A significant event in his life was when he and his wife were baptized together in Taipei, Taiwan at his son’s church on April 12, 2015.  At the age of 70, He shared about the grace of God for loving and accepting someone like him.

He is survived by his loving wife Patty Shih of 45 years; and his children, Andrew (wife Sarah) and Wendy (husband Henry). He will be forever cherished by his six grandchildren, Jordan, Caitlin Joy, Vivien, Eden, Nathan and Dustin.

Charles loved singing Taiwanese karaoke songs, telling crude jokes, and drinking with his friends. He is remembered for being the life of the party, his honesty/passion, and being a beloved friend and father figure to many.

施純星 先生於 2023 年 2 月 17 日在他的住所平靜地去世，享年 77 歲。家人對他的突然離世深感悲痛。

施純星 先生於 1945 年 5 月 14 日出生於台灣彰化。他是 5 個孩子中的老大。 1984 年，他與妻子和兩個孩子移民到德克薩斯州達拉斯。通過勤奮的努力，他建立了進出口批發業務。從單產品銷售發展到擁有 6,000 平方英尺倉庫的 500 多種產品批發。他也曾是得克薩斯州聖安東尼奧首批中式自助餐廳之一的合夥人，餐廳名為 Mr. Panda's。

2015 年 4 月 12 日，他和妻子在台灣台北，兒子安德魯的教會裡一起受洗。這是他生命中的一件大事。他在眾人面前述說了上帝愛他和接納他的見證。

與他相伴 45 年的愛妻 施佩蒂 女士(Patty Shih)，和他的兒子安德魯（妻子莎拉），女兒溫迪（丈夫亨利），以及他的六個孫子喬丹、凱特琳·喬伊、薇薇安、伊甸、內森和達斯汀將永遠懷念他。

施純星 先生喜歡唱台灣卡拉 OK 歌曲，講嘲諷的笑話，和朋友一起飲酒。他因此成為派對中的核心人物。他的熱情以及對朋友的真誠將被人們銘記。
