Carol Ann McCarthy

Carol Ann McCarthy age 93, was born February 18th, 1929 to Madeline Cunningham and H. Stanley Cunningham, in Bangor, Maine.  She died Saturday December 17th, 2022 at her home in Carrollton Texas.  Carol is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James E McCarthy, Son-in-Law, Barry Burcham and Grandson, Michael Burkhart.  Carol was blessed with 8 children; Pat, Jim, Julia, John, Dan, Theresa, Paul, Robert and 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

Carol was very talented and loved working with her hands.  She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, sewing, painting and many other activities.  These cherished artworks will forever remind us of her talents.

She loved to travel throughout the world and lived for several years in Amman, Jordan and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  While living in the Middle East she took the opportunity to participate in many archeological digs.

After settling back down in the United States, Jim and Carol spent many years traversing the nation in their motorhome, spending time traveling from Maine-Texas-Arizona and back again.

Carol loved children and animals which led to a happy house full of fun and chaos. There was never a dull moment.   No one was a stranger in the house because she made everyone feel like family.  She loved us all and was loved by all.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 21st at 1:30 pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Pkwy, Farmers Branch TX 75234.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
