Anne Yvonne Palmer, 57, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on October 10, 2017 after a courageous 14-month long battle with lung cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church at 1304 4th Ave, Coraopolis, PA. Father Richard S. Jones will lead the celebration of Anne's life.
Anne was born in Pittsburgh, PA. on December 12,1959. She graduated from Hilltop Catholic High School in 1977.
Anne was married to Kendall Palmer on August 23, 2007; they were best friends for over 14 years and married for 10 wonderful years.
Anne retired two years ago after working for Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis, PA. Since moving to Fort Worth, Anne enjoyed being a home keeper, decorating her home, caring for her animals, and swimming. Anne became involved in the Exon20Group, whose mission is to expedite exon 20-targeted drugs into and through clinical trials to benefit patients like herself and the global oncology community. Anne's willingness to try an experimental drug and to share her experience with it has distinguished her as a pioneer in the field of cancer genetics.
Anne is survived by her beloved husband, Kendall, her children Adam, Rachel, and Matthew Mankowski, her sisters, Carole Klein (of Bethesda, MD), Anita Kelly (of Pittsburgh, PA), and Beverly Robertson (of Dover, DE), and her nine nieces and nephews and four grand nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her father, Robert Klein, her mother, Carole Klein Smith, and her nephew, David Sorrells.
