Alicia Lucas Obituary

Alicia Annette Lucas, 53, of Flower Mound, passed away Monday, August 26th at her home with her daughter, Alexa, sitting beside her watching a Hallmark movie.

Details for the The Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 14 at the Fellowship United Methodist Church. The address is 101 Trophy Club Dr, Trophy Club, TX 76262. Although, family has requested that attendees please refrain from wearing black. They have asked that you dress for a Hawaiian Luau as Alicia flew Maui for 14 years.

No visitation, nor viewings are planned.

Alicia was born December 14, 1965 in Waco to Nicolas “Nick” Pocock and Vera Alvena Pocock. She graduated from China Spring High School in 1984 and then met her “honey,” Mike Lucas. She married Mike Lucas on August 18, 1990. Then on June 17, 1997, Alicia and Mike welcomed their daughter, Alexa, into the world. Alicia worked for American Airlines for 32 years, jet setting all over the world making many friends and memories along the way. Her favorite stop was her 14-year route to Maui and sitting on secret beach watching the Hawaiian sunset. She loved taking her family along for the ride and enjoyed many hiking trips to Mt. Rainier, Hawaiian adventures in Maui, and ski trips spent in the lodge with a hot cocoa. From a young age she was athletic, competing in many different sports and activities such as cheer leading and track, excelling in whatever she competed in throughout her athletic career. After high school, she joined the MCC Dance Team and became an aerobics instructor at Figure World. Like her mother, she loved to paint and appreciated the world around her through her art and photography so she could keep the memories forever. Alicia loved her animals just as much as her “human” family and always fell for the puppy dog eyes, sneaking her babies whatever they wanted. Just as beautiful as she was on the outside (and boy was she pretty!) she had the most beautiful, kind soul we all had the pleasure to meet. She loved with every part of her and shared her heart with people she didn’t even know. Alicia loved to donate clothing and food to people in need during the year and the holidays. She never turned off her attitude of service doing anything for anyone whenever they needed it. Alicia always had a smile on her face (lip gloss included) and was just as happy all the time as she made everyone else.

Survivors include her daughter, Alexa Lucas; her mother, Vera Alvena Pocock; brothers, Terry Trull and Stephen Pocock; sister, Neva Casey; mother-in-law, DeDe Lucas; father-in-law, Morris “Luke” Lucas; sister-in-law, Shawnna Latino; dogs, Precious and Koa; cats, Keke and Oko; numerous other relatives and friends.

Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Lucas and her father, Nick Pocock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to her daughter’s Celebration of Life Fund:
