Russell Hayter Obituary

Hayter, Russell L. - of Dallas Texas, age 83 died Monday, March 12th, 2018 at C.C. Young Senior Care. Russell was born October 4th, 1934 in Eaton Rapids, MI. to the late Cecil and Margaret (Auble) Hayter. Russell married Louise Thomas on May 16th, 1954 They were married 51 years prior to her death September 9th, 2005. Russell was a long time resident of Battle Creek, MI where he graduated from Battle Creek Central H.S. and worked at the Enquirer & News Newspaper for 34 years. He also served in the Air National Guard. Russell and Louise initially retired to Sun City, Arizona ultimately settling in Lubbock, TX.

Surviving are children Douglas (Maureen) Hayter of Dallas, TX, Laura Hayter of Broomfield, CO; Grandchildren: Evan Hayter and Max Hayter; Sister-in-law: Kathy Latty; Brothers-in-law: Merv Baker and Brad Latty; Many nieces and nephews; Russell was preceded in death by his Sisters: Margie Ormsbee, Camilla Jaquette and Juanita Crampton; Brothers: Cecil Hayter and Richard Hayter
