Rocky Smithson Obituary
Rocky James Smithson, Jr., 39 of Lewisville, TX passed away on March 18, 2017 of lung cancer.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Friday, March 24, at Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, TX. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Flower Mound Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gateway Funerals and Cremations.
Rocky was born in Dallas, TX on December 18, 1977. He and his girlfriend Amanda Wright Poor have a beautiful baby boy named Noah James Smithson, born December 30, 2016.
Rocky was a trained mechanic who owned his own mobile mechanic business. He loved spending time with his family. He loved the Lord and showed that with a servants heart, as he was always ready to help those in need.
Rocky is survived by his son Noah James Smithson, his dad Rocky Smithson, SR., his sister Brandi Ellis and her husband Allen, his brother Eric Smithson and his wife Sara, brother Josh Smithson and wife Avalahn. His nephews Christian Ellis, Owen Smithson and Matthew Smithson and nieces Kaily Ellis, Elizabeth Ellis and Iris Smithson, as well as many family members and friends that all loved him.
Rocky was preceded in death by his grandmother Betty Donaldson Hill and mother Connie Pyle Smith.
