Richard Rudkin of Lewisville, Texas, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 18, 2018 with family by his side. Born on May 20, 1953 in Freeport, New York, he graduated from Brooklyn Prep high school and attended Nassau Community College. He joined American Airlines in Hartford, Connecticut in 1977 and worked for American for 41 years until his death. He leaves his wife Dorothy Chapman, his son Matthew Rudkin, his daughter Molly Rudkin and his sister Maureen Goldfarb, and Dorothy's sons Jarrod Laureano and Adam Laureano He was predeceased by his son Richie Rudkin and his brother Gregory Rudkin. In addition to his family, Richard enjoyed many passions including The Rolling Stones, the New York Giants, the New York Yankees and the Belmont Stakes. He had many many friends from all phases of his life from his school days to his long career with American. Everyone loved Richard, and he was great fun to be with. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be a celebration of his life from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the CR Smith Museum (4601 Texas HWY 360, Fort Worth, Texas).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to either The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp or The American Cancer Society.
