Nguyen Truong, beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend passed away after his yearlong battle to liver cancer at his home in Arlington, TX, at the young age of 38 on August 6, 2018.
He is survived by both of his parents, Minh Truong and Sen Truong; his sister, Tiffany McGehee; his wife, Mai Phan; and his daughter, Nhi Truong.
Nguyen was born on February 21, 1980, in Vietnam. At age 5, he moved to the United States to join his parents. A few years after, the family settled in Garland, TX, where he attended the remainder of his school years and graduated from Garland High School. He studied Fine Arts at The University of Texas at Arlington and practiced his talents professionally as a Graphics Designer and Print Production Manager. He got married on June 4, 2005 in Arlington, TX and welcomed their daughter on March 10, 2006.
He loved photography, playing guitar, and singing karaoke. He enjoyed his time taking photographs of his family, friends, and food dishes. He always wanted to capture the best and beautiful moments, no matter how big or small. Resting between his photography, he loved to strum his guitar and could spend hours singing his favorite songs.
He had always held his family and friends dearest. His outlook on life is to not keep chasing what is beyond and forget to cherish what is in front of us. He was strong willed as much as he was kind hearted and touched everyone he met with his wisdom, charm, sense of humor, and positivity. Every photograph he took also captured a piece of him, in which he called them "treasured moments of joy", and these photographs will now be our treasured memories of him.
