Marcus Demingo Bowens was born on October 16, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Aleatha Bowens. Marcus is survived by his sisters Shammarre Bowens Rajigadoo, Sylvia C. Starks and Shirlette Bowens and two step-brothers Dicovann and Jamar Bowens.
Marcus was baptized at Warren Avenue Christian Church at a young age and attended and fellowshipped at Light of the World Church of Christ in Oak Cliff Texas as an adult.
His early education began at Metropolitan Tabernacle Private School, and then with his mother to Dallas Independent School, Dallas TX. Marcus graduated from W. T. White High School in 1987; during his years there he played on the football team.
The family that Marcus leaves behind, include his five children: Xavier Fain Bowens, Zachary Fain Bowens, Noah, Micah and Marcus D Jr. Bowens. Marcus's mother, Aleatha J. Bowens preceded him in death; but he will be missed by his Father, Robert, and his beloved grandmother Lois Ransom and a host of other extended family and friends.
If you know Marcus well, there are three things which are indisputable: he had a big heart, a giving spirit, and hard-wired, unquenchable belief in the Dallas Cowboys.
"Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence."
