Carl Edward Litton, 57, passed away on October 15, 2017. Carl fought a courageous battle against cancer, and, after being blessed by the compassionate care of the staff at the T. Boone Pickens Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, went to be with the Lord. Carl, known as "Ed" to his immediate family, chose to go by his first name in adulthood to honor his grandfather Carl Linn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Colleen Litton. He was a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas and a veteran of the US Air Force. Carl is survived by a sister (Suzanne Litton Barnett) and a brother (Guy Litton) as well as nieces (Connie Barnett Dowell, Katie Barnett Veenhuizen, and Valentina Litton-Sierra) and great nieces and a great nephew (Robbie Dowell, Mari Veenhuizen, and Rosie Dowell). For over two decades, he worked diligently for OpenConnect Systems in Carrollton, enjoying the friendship and professionalism of a terrific group of individuals in that company. Carl was an avid guitar player, music fan, and a lover of trout, smallmouth bass, and striper bass fishing. On the day he passed, heaven got a little bit louder, and henceforth, no fish within the pearly gates will be safe.
Carl's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Pickens hospice and special thanks to his supervisor, Mr. Kip Brewer.
A private service for family and friends will be scheduled in March in Arkansas. Those wishing to make a donation in his memory are encouraged to support Camp Wyldewood in Searcy, Arkansas, a Christian camp for young people and a place that was dear to Carl's heart.
