Tod Joseph Narlock, Sr.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Tod Joseph Narlock Sr. of Allen, TX announce his sudden and unexpected passing on Sunday November 24th at the age of 58 after suffering a massive ischemic stroke on Wednesday November 20th. Despite aggressive medical treatment for brain swelling his medical team could not prevent the detrimental outcome and called his time of death on 11/24/19 at 12:31pm.

Tod was born December 18, 1960 in Chicago, IL and resided there 8 years when he moved to Burnsville, MN for the next 6 years before moving to Texas. Growing up in Burnsville he enjoyed and excelled at skiing, winning multiple medals and awards, and even making it into the local newspaper as the 13-yr old ego deflator known for his "fancy foot work" on his short skis.

Tod excelled at almost anything and rarely did he meet an obstacle he couldn't make look like child's play. His work was hardly that, for the results were truly beautiful and nothing short of masterpieces, mere artforms of various forms, shapes, and sizes. He exemplified the traits of a true carpenter; extensive and versatile experience, attention to detail, a skillful eye and steady hand to match. Ultimately, he believed that building and remodeling, at its best, stems from a commitment to solve the problems of design and construction before construction ever even began. He could bring what he envisioned to life through outstanding craftsmanship and the personal desire to yield results of unsurpassed quality unique to each individual project.

Tod is survived by and will be sadly missed by: his parents Donna & Bill Narlock; his wife of 37 years Debbie; his  daughter Sherry and son T.J. and his wife Ashley; his grandchildren Raegan, Noah, and Amelia; his brother Tom and his wife Rebecca; as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nephews/nieces, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 14th at Gateway Funerals & Cremation located at 17390 Preston Road, Suite 310 Dallas, Texas 75252.
