Roger Baker passed away on November 19, 2018. He grew up on a farm in Kansas. He later attended Kansas State University with a bachelor's of science degree. He moved to Texas to attend Texas Tech University for his master's degree and then to Oklahoma State University for his PhD in Agronomy. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1974 and was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.
Roger met his wife, Debbie, while they were both attending Texas Tech University. They had two children and were married for 48 years.
Roger enjoyed gardening, planting vegetables each spring and fall. He also enjoyed reading, both fiction and non-fiction. Roger enjoyed watching sports and cheered for both Kansas State and Texas Tech. He was also a soccer referee for many years.
Roger is survived by his wife, Debbie; his sister, Pam Blood; his son, Patrick (Jennifer); his daughter, Marie Clark (Rob); and his two grandchildren, Trent and Abigail.
