Steven Hess Obituary
Steven Randall Hess, 68, of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2016, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with COPD and cancer.
Born on November 25, 1948, in Allentown, PA, Steve spent his youth in Pembroke, GA, before residing in Dallas for over 35 years. He led a successful career in insurance and finance for the automobile and marine industries.
Steve will be missed greatly by his wife of 34 years, Kathy Place Hess, and their children, Meredith of Dallas and her fiancé, Christopher Kelley of Fayetteville, NC, and Andrew of Memphis, TN; two sons, Randy (Shana) of Wilmington, NC and John (Cheryl) of Murphy, TX, and three grandchildren, Savannah, Kaleigh and Matthew; sister Gloria Hess of Stow, OH, and brother Hank Hess (Dianne) of Gainesville, GA, as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Highlands Christian Church at 9949 McCree Rd., Dallas, TX 75238.
The Hess family thanks Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their expert care, compassion, and support.
Memorials may be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, First United Methodist Church or Highlands Christian Church, all of Dallas.
