Scott Krumme Obituary

Scott Krumme, MIS, CISSP, CISA: May 18, 1966 - February 2, 2017

The love letter I didn't write. How do I love thee, impossible to count the ways.

I had a thing about my name. I always expected it to be pronounced correctly. You didn't say it incorrectly. You had the wrong name entirely. Somehow it worked. You got a first date, even though you asked if I was sure my name wasn't Allison. Truth be told, it had a lot to do with free food. But, deep down I think you knew that already. Plus, I liked all your muscles.

What a wild ride life has been. We swore we weren't serious or ever getting married. We were so smart! We were so smart we outsmarted ourselves. You were moving for a new job and I said I'm not moving without more jewelry and you said okay, you wanna? You asked me to marry you thinking I would say no. I said yes thinking you would say never mind, I've got a new job in Chicago. We got married in November of 1995. Think our families will find out? The Justice of the Peace was sweet and caring and sent follow-up notes encouraging us to always stand together against the world no matter who, what, when or where. I'm glad we listened to her. We were so calm and cool during our "real" wedding 6 months later. No one understood how we were so calm and laughing. Remember the minister getting caught up in our fun and forgetting a few important parts of the ceremony, like "I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride. " Thank goodness captains on airplanes have the same power vested in them and did it before we landed in Hawaii. You were so shocked walking out of the lavatory after that announcement. May the fourth be with you. We should copyright that!

I knew then our life would be a series of accidents that happen to work out. Laughter was the main reason for everything we did. You were my Tool Man, whose plans worked. I was your peanut gallery. Now, I can safely tell everyone about the time you inadvertently imitated Clark Griswold and ran out of road. You managed to pass between the warning signs. I still laugh. Yes, I know exactly what you're saying to me right now.

Then the peanut gallery grew. Unfortunately for you, it grew with a lot of girl power, sarcasm and wit. It also grew with the best of both of us. Tic TAK and Bran Bran are amazing in so many ways. But, you know that. Take Mavidog, Jazzy Girl and Jakey Shakey on lots of walks in the park. You need to be dragged in the pursuit of many squirrels. Clifford, Rocky and Torah will take care of squirrels down here.

Keep your eyes on your Mom, Dad and brother. They need to feel you with them. Your cousins are spread across the country so make sure you keep moving. You need to take your share of the load from those already up there working hard. After all, you always say our angels have to hit the ground running to keep up.

Oh and yes, I'm keeping my promise. Make sure I wag my finger correctly while I tell everyone to be an organ donor. It's the best gift ever. Our favorite organizations are Southwest Transplant Alliance, Ranch Hand Rescue, Heifer International, animal shelters, Argyle Booster Club and AYSA.

He is survived by his wife and beloved daughters. Parents Dale and June Krumme; Brother Gregg Krumme (wife Robin); Nephew Kyle Krumme; Niece Kendall Krumme; Aunts Janis Krumme, Beth Krumme, DeAnne McGinnis; Cousins; Ann Krumme, Jim Krumme, James Thatcher (wife Margie), Patricia Ray (husband Kevin), Tony McGinnis and DaVonne McGinnis.
