Jill Denney was born December 21, 1968 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and entered eternal rest on October 11, 2016 at home in Dallas. She attended Richardson schools, graduating from Berkner High School, and continued her education earning a degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Jill was an avid and knowledgeable sports fan, especially where the Longhorns were involved. Travel was another thing she enjoyed, whether visiting friends, attending special events, or just being there. She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church of Dallas where she participated in the youth choir and mission work, and later as an usher for worship services.
Survivors include her parents Jean and Gary Denney, brother Garron Denney, sister Laura Peel and husband Brad, niece Shelby Denney, niece Katherine Peel, nephew Andrew Peel, very special friend Ted Gangi, many friends and associates, and her beloved rescue dog Polly.
Jill maintained a positive and and cheerful attitude during a three-year journey with cancer, serving as an inspiration to those who knew her. In her last month she attended Ranger and Cowboy games and opening day at The State Fair of Texas. A service of celebration of Jill's life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Dallas Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the charity of the donors choosing.
