Daniel Michael Flater , 66, of Garland Texas formerly Muskegon Michigan , passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2017 surrounded by family.
The memorial service will be held in Michigan in June. Date and time to be determined.
Daniel was born in Alma Michigan on June 28, 1950 . He graduated from Montague High School.
Daniel was married to Mary (Kroeze) Flater on March 17,1978 ; they were married 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family . He always had a quick wit and passed this trait on to his children. Daniel was also a music lover, some of his favorites were The Beatles, The Guess Who and Janis Joplin. His favorite saying was "Ya know that don't ya?
Daniel is survived by his wife Mary, children Denny Flater, Nadia Flater (James Anderson), Laurie Crosby, Daniel A. Flater (Shy Dawson) Robert (Jessica) Flater. A special nephew Robert Hagen. 14 grandchildren , and other family and friends.
Daniel is preceded in death by his mother Thelma York, brothers Dicky and Michael , and sister
Betty.
