Alesia Carol Reynolds Baber Wright, 49, of Garland, Texas passed away on September 11, 2017.
The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Unity Church of Dallas located at 6525 Forest Lane Dallas, TX 75230
Alesia was born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 3, 1968. She graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School (LCHS) in Garland, Texas where she was an officer on the LCHS Sweethearts drill team. She earned her degree in Education at The University of Texas at Austin. Immediately upon her graduation she took a teaching position with Garland Independent School District. She taught 2 years at Sellers Middle School and then got the Sterling Stars Varsity Drill Team Director position at Naaman Forest High School (NFHS) where she stayed until October 2016.
Alesia loved her Sweethearts, her UT Longhorns, and her Naaman Forest Sterling Stars drill team girls. She was involved in other NFHS activities. She was the class of 2014 sponsor for 4 years and as the choreographer and advisor for the school musicals. Of course she also loved to dance, loved watching her longhorns play football, loved to cook, and loved being with her friends. Her favorite person to be with was her daughter Peyton.
Alesia is survived by her daughter Peyton Baber, mother and step-dad Carol and Roger Smith, uncle John McDonald, aunts Gina Pruitt and Charlene Davis, first cousins Duncan McDonald, Heather Jones McDonald, and Jonathan McDonald, and cousins Chris Anderson, Caitlin Jones, Cameron Jones, Hannah Jones, Michael Davis, Misha Ward, Marty Teenor, Pat Teenor, and Dustin Teenor.
Alesia is preceded in death by her dad Tommie Reynolds, her grandparents Margaret June and Keith McDonald, and cousin Marcia Futrell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alesia's honor may be given to Faith Presbyterian Hospice Pickens Center through Presbyterian Communities and Services at prescs.org (not underlined). OR standuptocancer.org (not underlined) which is usually called SU2C.
